- Metro construction technology was used in the construction of a medical complex in Moscow
During the construction of a new medical complex in Moscow, metro construction technology was used for the first time. This was announced on Tuesday, February 10, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction.
We are talking about the construction of a complex of the N. V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine on Bolshaya Sukharevskaya Square. The official explained that the "wall in the ground" technology, previously used in metro construction, was used to create the excavation fence. According to him, this decision made it possible to strengthen the excavation and protect it from groundwater. The length of the structure was 639 m, and the depth was up to 25 m, the website clarifies. kp.ru .
Alexey Alexandrov, head of the Civil Engineering Department, noted that 180 reinforcement frames were made at the site and about 9 thousand cubic meters of concrete were poured. He added that the installation of the strapping beam combined the "wall in the ground" into a single system and allowed work to continue on the foundation, according to Moscow 24.
It is also reported that digital solutions are actively used at the construction site: facial recognition technologies, remote crane control, artificial intelligence and laser scanning. Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Urban Planning Policy Department, stressed that such solutions should reduce staff downtime by up to 40% and speed up construction processes by about 10%.
