American Jawan Rashun Porter from northwest Georgia, who threatened to kill US President Donald Trump on the TikTok social network, was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison. This was announced on Monday, February 9, by the Fox5 TV channel.

"Jawan Rashun Porter, 30 years old, <...> was sentenced on Monday to three years and five months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release," the article says.

It is noted that the accused, in whose possession ammunition and explosives were found during the investigations, admitted his guilt. The man, among other things, was on a so-called "probation period" at the time of voicing threats to the American leader, given to him for several previous convictions for serious crimes.

On January 8, CBS reported that Nikita Kasap, a resident of the US state of Wisconsin, pleaded guilty to the murder of his parents as part of a deal with the prosecution, which, according to investigators, was committed for the subsequent preparation of an assassination attempt on Trump.
