Deaths at railway crossings decreased in the Moscow region
In the Moscow region, the death rate at railway crossings has decreased since the beginning of 2026. Six fatal accidents were registered.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the region, compared to the same period in 2025, mortality decreased by 40%. A total of 24 accidents were registered on the railways, including 11 at unauthorized crossings and seven at stations. This is what the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya writes about.
Fences and information boards are installed on the railway to ensure safety. Specialists are conducting preventive raids. Elevated crossings are being built for the convenience of pedestrians.
In December, an electric train of the first route of the Moscow Central Diameters (MCD-1) killed a man at Fili station.
