The daughter of the late World War II veteran Nikolai Kizyun has sent complaints to the supervisory authorities about the refusal to initiate criminal proceedings on fraud against her father. Lawyer Alexander Zorin told Izvestia about this on February 10.

In her appeals, the woman stressed that the victim had submitted an application for bringing all those involved in fraud to criminal responsibility. She considered it illegal to deny that her father had suffered material damage, and also stated that the existence of a civil dispute over inheritance did not negate the corpus delicti.

Kizyun's daughter demanded to cancel the refusal orders and initiate a case under articles on fraud and abuse of authority. According to Zorin, the investigation ignored key evidence, including a video incriminating the veteran's relatives.

In October last year, it became known about the death of a veteran. He died at the age of 97. It was noted that Kizyun was awarded the Order of the October Revolution, two Orders of the Red Banner and the Order of the Red Star.

Later, the daughter of the deceased veteran shared the feelings of her father, who suffered from cheating on his deceased son's inheritance. It was noted that the pensioner, taking advantage of his age and poor eyesight, was tricked into giving up his inheritance in favor of his son's widow.
