Against the background of heavy rainfall in January 2026, Russians turned to specialists providing car evacuation services 12% more often compared to the same period last year. Avito Services experts told Izvestia about this on February 11.

According to their data, at the beginning of the year, Russians were 18% more likely to seek the services of a tow truck that was ready to leave urgently to load and transport a vehicle stuck in the snow.

Truck transportation turned out to be one of the most in-demand services: in January, it was searched for 23% more actively compared to the same period of the previous year. Russians needed tow trucks to transport buses and minibuses 18% more often, passenger cars — by 16%, and motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATVs — by 13%.

Experts also noted that the demand for different ways of loading vehicles has increased significantly over the year. Thus, interest in the rigid coupling has increased by 49%: as a rule, this safe towing of a car using a metal rod is used in cases where the steering and brakes are working, but a cable cannot be used.

Loading with a crane was searched for 23% more actively. This method is usually used when a car is parked in a narrow yard or its wheels are blocked. Partial loading, in which one axle of the car rises, while the other remains on the road and rolls during transportation, has become 17% more in demand.

Earlier, on January 21, it was reported that, against the background of abnormally heavy snowfalls in Russia in the first two weeks of January, there was a noticeable increase in interest in snow removal not only of territories, but also of cars. The service for cleaning cars from snow was searched for 5.8 times more often, and the number of offers increased 2.1 times.
