Founder and CEO of Meta (recognized as an extremist organization in Russia) Mark Zuckerberg intends to settle on an artificial island in Florida (USA), which is known as the "bunker for billionaires." This was reported on February 9 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.

According to the publication, Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are acquiring a newly built mansion on the waterfront on the artificial island of Indian Creek in Miami. It is noted that the seller is a company associated with Peter Cancro, founder of the Jersey Mike's Subs sandwich chain.

Bloomberg, citing a source, also confirms Zuckerberg's plans. It is noted that the territory has long been a place of residence for a number of rich people, including the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, Jared Kushner, the daughter of American leader Ivanka Trump, Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, and others, the newspaper writes.

According to the agency, his decision is related to the discussion of the introduction of a one-time wealth tax for billionaires in California, which has already prompted some investors, including hedge fund manager Peter Thiel, to leave the state. The income tax in Miami, in turn, is zero, clarifies "Газета.Ru ".

At the moment, Mark Zuckerberg's fortune, according to Forbes, is estimated at about $246 billion, and he already owns real estate in California, Hawaii and Washington.

On December 11 last year, American Time magazine recognized developers who create and train artificial intelligence (AI) as the "Person of the Year". The cover, decorated in the style of a "Lunch on a Skyscraper" photo, features entrepreneurs Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, CEO of AMD Lisa Su and Google-owned AI company DeepMind Demis Hassabis, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI Sam Altman, Anthropic Dario Amodei, and ImageNet founder Faye-Faye Lee.
