A state security service has been established in Kyrgyzstan
On February 10, the head of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, signed a decree on the creation of the state security service, which will protect the republic's top officials.
"President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov signed a decree according to which, in order to improve the activities to ensure the safety of protected persons and facilities," the message on the website of the head of the republic says.
It is also reported that the state security service will report directly to the president, and will also be assigned to the national security system.
The Chairman of the State Security Service is appointed and dismissed by the President of Kyrgyzstan. His deputies are also appointed and dismissed by the Head of State upon the recommendation of the head of the service.
The legal basis of the new structure's activities is the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the law "On State Protection", the signed decree and other regulatory legal acts. The regulations on the service, its organizational structure and staffing levels are approved by the President.
It is noted that the decree comes into force today.
On the same day, Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the dismissal of Kamchybek Tashiev from the post of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
