Reuters has learned of a 61 drop in Honda's profit%
The operating profit of Honda Motor in the III fiscal quarter (October – December 2025) decreased by 61.4% compared to the same period last year and reached 153.3 billion yen ($986 million), Reuters reported on February 10.
It is noted that the result did not meet the analysts' forecast of 174.5 billion yen. Following the results of the three quarters, Honda's total revenue decreased to 15.9 trillion yen, which is 2.2% less compared to the same period last year. Operating profit decreased by 48.1% to 591.5 billion yen.
The company attributes these figures to duties on the import of cars to the United States, which remain Honda's largest sales market.
The publication also notes that Honda, along with other car companies, is incurring losses from the development and production of electric vehicles amid declining demand for cars without internal combustion engines in the United States. There, customers are more likely to choose more affordable cars or hybrid models.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the first electric car from Ferrari will be named Luce. The presentation of the model will take place in May 2026. Her salon was developed with the participation of LoveFrom, a company co-founded by former Apple designer Jony Ive.
