Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit Kazakhstan in 2026. This was announced on February 10 by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Kazakhstan Alexey Borodavkin on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
"Our president is planning a return visit to Kazakhstan this year. No dates have been set yet, but such a visit will take place. I think we will have something to report to our supervisors," Borodavkin said.
The Russian Ambassador noted that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia is actively developing in all areas, including education, culture and military affairs. He stressed that the visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Moscow was an important step towards signing the declaration on comprehensive strategic partnership.
The exact dates of the visit have not yet been determined.
On January 5, Tokayev noted Putin's benevolent attitude towards friends and colleagues. He added that the Russian leader is known and respected in Kazakhstan as a global figure, and the world sees him as a symbol of protection for the Russian Federation and Russians.
