Daria Nepryaeva took 21st place in the 10 km freestyle race at the Olympics
On Thursday, February 12, skier Daria Nepryaeva competed in the 10 km freestyle race at the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. She covered the distance in 24 minutes and 45 seconds and took 21st place. The Russian athlete competed in a neutral status, without national symbols.
The winner of the race was Sweden's Frida Carlsson (22 minutes 49.2 seconds), Sweden's Ebba Andersson (+46.6 seconds) took second place, and Jessica Diggins (+49.7) from the USA took third place.
This was Nepryaeva's third start at the 2026 Games. Earlier, she finished 17th in the skiathlon on February 7 at a distance of 20 km due to a fall and did not qualify for the classic sprint on February 10, taking 36th place with a time of 3 minutes 51.60 seconds.
Nepryaeva's next performance is scheduled for February 22 at 12:00 Moscow time, where she will take part in a 50 km mass start in classical style.
Nepryaeva was born on May 18, 2002 in Tver. At the age of 23, the athlete is a two—time Russian champion, world junior champion in the 5 km classic race (2022), winner of the Russian Cup of the 2024/2025 season, multiple medalist and winner of the Russian Cup stages.
In the 2025/2026 season, she showed stable results: 10th place overall in the Tour de Ski, eighth in the 5 km freestyle mass start in Toblach, 16th in the 10 km classic in Oberhof and eighth in the 20 km classic mass start in Goms.
