Ikea, the manufacturer of household goods, has sent letters to all customers from Austria asking them to stop using NYMANE lamps due to the risk of electric shock when using them and to contact the company for a refund. This was reported on February 10 by the newspaper Heute.

"Due to a manufacturing defect, the insulation of one of the cables is insufficient, which creates a risk of electric shock. <...> The recall campaign affects devices manufactured from May 2022 to December 2025. Products with different production dates are not subject to recall," the article says.

Ikea has also asked customers to spread the word about this product recall, especially if they know that the recalled product has been loaned or sold on the secondary market.

Items subject to return can be returned to any manufacturer's store for a full refund. Purchase confirmation is not required.

As it became known on February 8, the Spanish clothing store chain Inditex, which owns the Zara brand, began to close outlets in Ukraine due to the unprofitability of the business. The reason for the closures was a sharp reduction in the number of customers.
