Zakharova pointed to the confusion in Europe regarding Russia
The authorities of European countries now do not understand what to do and how to get out of the situation that has developed in relations with Russia. This was announced on February 10 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"On the one hand, they are still pushing on the gas at full steam, implementing the concept of countering Russia, including arms supplies to the Kiev regime, financial sponsorship, and political support. On the other hand, <...> now they have already begun to bounce on those ravines, which were the result of those craters that formed after the rupture of their own shells supplied to the Kiev regime. And few people understand what to do in this situation," Zakharova said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
She also noted that the population of European countries may not forgive their authorities for the current policy and demand some kind of compensation from them. As an example, she mentioned the demands made by the German population.
"It's not an easy task for anyone to admit their mistakes, and even more so in the context of entire political regimes, communities, and parties. They (Western politicians — Ed.) understand that their peoples may not forgive them for this. And perhaps, as political figures in Germany are now saying, they will demand some kind of satisfaction," the official representative of the ministry said.
On February 8, Zakharova said that Western politicians are not only extremely illiterate, but also politically biased: being in power, they act not out of the interests of their people, but out of fear of losing sources of additional funding from the alliances and associations they belong to.
