The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow has arrested in absentia Zinaida Serebritskaya, a person involved in the attempted murder of Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseev. This was reported on February 10 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

It is specified that the court arrested the defendant for two months.

The assassination attempt on General Alekseev took place on February 6 in Moscow. The victim was taken to one of the city hospitals. The next day, February 7, Alekseev regained consciousness. A criminal case has been opened into the incident, and the Moscow Prosecutor's Office has taken control of the investigation of the case under articles on attempted murder and illegal trafficking of firearms. Later, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported that an article about an attempt on the life of a serviceman had been added to the case.
