Austrian police have uncovered the largest drug network in recent years
The Austrian State Criminal Administration has uncovered a professionally organized drug trafficking network and seized 180 kg of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. This was reported by Heute on February 10.
According to the police, the suspects in the organization of drug trafficking are three young men who are currently no more than 25 years old. They distributed prohibited substances in the area of the city of Wels, the article says.
The authors of the article specify that about 70,000 euros were seized in the house of one of the suspects during the search and a car worth about 50,000 euros was confiscated.
The Reuters news agency reported on January 30 that Serbian law enforcement authorities seized 5 tons of marijuana and five weapons as part of a raid on a small agricultural company in a village in the center of the country. It was noted that two people were also arrested during the raid, but one suspect is still at large. In addition to drugs, four machine guns and one grenade launcher were seized.
