- The Iranian Foreign Ministry called the Epstein case a civilizational humanitarian catastrophe.
The case of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of sexual crimes, is a worldwide disaster, the scale of which cannot be underestimated. This was announced on February 10 during a press conference by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ismail Bagai.
"This is a humanitarian and civilizational catastrophe, its scale should not be underestimated or it should be argued that the problem concerns only the United States or one person," the Jahan News news portal quoted him as saying.
Bagai added that this raises concerns about the possible connection of the discovered process with long-term projects to advance the political goals of some parties.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on February 8 that the released Epstein documents illustrated the true face of the collective West, which is trying to rule the whole world. He called the emerging scandal around what was happening "Satanic" (the movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the territory of the Russian Federation) and stated that such things are below human understanding.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also said on February 4 that the files of the American financier demonstrated the true attitude of Western elites towards children. At the same time, she reported a feeling of nausea that arose when she got acquainted with the published materials.
