Zakharova called Western politicians extremely "biased".
Western politicians are not only extremely illiterate, but also politically biased — being in power, they act not out of the interests of their people, but out of fear of losing sources of additional funding from the alliances and associations they belong to. This was announced on February 10 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"They (Western politicians. They are simply extremely illiterate and at the same time extremely politically opportunistically engaged. They do not act based on the national interests of the country they represent. They act based on those guidelines that are mandatory for them due to the fact that they are, for example, members of NATO, or are recipients of some kind of assistance through some of their Brussels institutions, or simply," she said in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel.
Zakharova said that the low level of literacy available to some European politicians who have survived the moral decline simply puts them at a dead end. In an interview with the TV channel, she also pointed out the duplicity of European politicians who are trying to promote their interests in the world in two ways at once: sanctions and allegedly "friendly intentions."
"On the one hand, sanctions, pressure, rudeness, threats, absolutely destructive behavior. On the other hand, it's an attempt to find out where you can promote your interests under the guise of friendship, kindness, and some kind of peacefulness," she said.
The TV channel's interlocutor clarified that in Russian there is a stable expression for such actors — "wolves in sheep's clothing," and then added that in the case of Western politicians, the so-called sheep's clothing hides "not wolves, but sheep for a long time."
On February 8, Zakharova called European states "silent victims" of their overseas partners, whom they trusted with their security. She said that residents of the countries of the European Union (EU) realized that they were no longer considered as allies of the United States.
On February 1, political analyst Patrick Henningsen appealed to Europe to turn towards Russia and the People's Republic of China (PRC) to solve their problems, in particular with Washington.
