Two problematic buses will resume operation in Stavropol

Two city buses, No. 5 and No. 12, which are considered problematic, will resume operation in Stavropol. Transportation is planned to be launched before March 15, the committee for the organization of transport services of the administration reports on social networks.

At the end of 2025, there were no carriers for the routes. Following the results of several months of monitoring passenger traffic, the commission proposed to make changes to the routes of public transport. In January, the innovations were agreed upon.

Auctions for the right to service both directions were placed on February 6. Applications will be accepted until February 16. After the identification of contractors and the conclusion of contracts, buses will start running through the streets of the city again.

Route No. 5, which is one of the longest in the city (about 40 km), will connect Herzen Street with Kozhevenny Passage. This will ensure transport accessibility for residents of Mamayka and Tashla districts. 12 small class buses will operate on the line.

The route of flight No. 12 was adjusted taking into account the construction of a new residential complex. Now he will enter the streets of Industrialnaya and 1st Industrial, otherwise his route will not change. 10 buses will serve the route.

According to the StavropolMedia news agency, both buses will continue to operate at a regulated fare, which will make trips predictable in cost. The authorities plan to transfer about 10 routes to this form.
