A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical position and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy's losses amounted to over 200 people, an armored combat vehicle, 13 vehicles and three field artillery guns. Six ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. Enemy manpower and equipment were defeated in a number of settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The enemy lost more than 150 soldiers, 12 vehicles and five ammunition depots.

The southern group of troops improved the situation along the front line and hit the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the settlements of the DPR. The enemy lost up to 145 fighters and two field artillery pieces.

The Center group of troops occupied more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian formations amounted to more than 295 people, a tank, an M113 armored personnel carrier made in the USA and two cars.

The units of the Vostok group of forces continue to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Zaliznichnoye, Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces formations in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions were also hit. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 420 soldiers, a tank, three armored fighting vehicles and nine vehicles.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of the mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the Zapasnoye settlement of the Zaporizhia region. More than 35 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, four vehicles, two electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots, materiel and fuel and lubricants were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the facilities of the fuel and energy complex and transport infrastructure used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, places of assembly, storage and preparation for the launch of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, ammunition depots, as well as points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 139 districts.

Air defense systems shot down four guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket, a guided long-range Neptune missile and 72 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 113068 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27575 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1661 multiple rocket launchers, 33176 field artillery guns and mortars, 54013 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
