The first ticks in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are expected at the end of March — in the first decade of April. Everything will depend on the weather, the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reported on Tuesday, February 10.

According to preliminary data, the number of dangerous insects will remain at the average annual level this year. The number of taiga ticks in the Achinsk area is expected to remain at the level of the previous 2025 and the decline of steppe ticks in Kansk.

At the same time, an increase in the number of taiga ticks is predicted in Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings, Lesosibirsk, Sharypovo and in the territory of the Ilansk-Nizhneingash municipality. An increase in the number of steppe ticks is expected in the Minusinsk area.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, arthropods are carriers of dangerous diseases: tick-borne encephalitis, borreliosis, anaplasmosis, ehrlichiosis and Siberian tick-borne typhus. So vaccination should be taken care of now.
