New Foton Tunland G9 pickup truck goes on sale in Russia
Sales of the new Chinese Foton Tunland G9 pickup truck have started in Russia. This was announced by Natalia Koroleva, deputy general director of the MB Rus distribution company, according to the Izvestia correspondent from the presentation of the new product in Moscow on February 10. The price starts from 3.64 million rubles.
The Foton Tunland G9 is equipped with a two-liter turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 162 hp in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission ZF. The model has an automatic all-wheel drive with a downshift and a rear differential lock.
The pickup truck can tow trailers weighing up to 3 tons, including motorhomes. The load capacity is 900 kg, the dimensions of the cargo platform of the platform are 1520× 1580 mm, while the length of the car itself exceeds 5.3 m. The list of equipment includes a 12-inch media system screen, electric seat adjustment with heating and ventilation, lane keeping system, all-round viewing system and parking sensors, collision warning function, 220-volt outlet and other options.
According to Koroleva, the main buyers of Foton Tunland G9 will be owners of agricultural holdings, technical specialists (builders, engineering companies), and outdoor enthusiasts. Fonon Brand Director at MB Rus, Alexander Parshutin, noted that the Tunland G9 model complements the Foton pickup truck range on the market, and the G7 model will remain on sale.
The Foton pickup line in the Russian market also includes three models of the Tunland line — G7, V7 and V9. The last two were introduced in Russia in March last year.
Earlier that day, it became known that a new domestic car brand, Tenet Plus, would appear in Russia. The car brand was developed by AGR Holding together with the Chinese Defetoo, for them this project will be the third after Tenet and Jeland.
