New domestic car brand Tenet Plus will appear in Russia

A new domestic car brand, Tenet Plus, will appear in Russia. This was announced on February 10 by the press service of AGR Holding. The car brand was developed jointly with the Chinese company Defetoo, for them this project will be the third after Tenet and Jeland.

Full-cycle production of Tenet Plus brand cars will be organized simultaneously at two AGR Holding plants. Production is scheduled to start in the first half of 2026.

The company has not yet shared details about the model range. She said that the brand is distinguished by its "expressive design and dynamic character," and the cars are designed taking into account Russian operating conditions "with a focus on reliability and thoughtful engineering solutions."

"The project becomes the third in the joint portfolio of partners and reflects the consistent implementation of the strategy for the formation of a multipolar automotive ecosystem, as well as a continuation of investment projects within the framework of the global strategy for the localization of a modern range of passenger cars in Russia," AGR Holding said.

It became known on February 3 that production of the new Jeland brand of cars, designed specifically for the Russian Federation, will begin in Russia in the first half of 2026.

At the same time, the media reported that the former General Motors plant in St. Petersburg, which belongs to the AGR Automotive Group, had been restarted. According to preliminary data, the site produces Jaecoo J6, J7 and J8 cars (a sub-brand of the Chinese company Chery Automobile).
