A native of Kuban was sentenced to six years for trying to join the RDC
The Southern District Military Court sentenced Dmitry Khasyanov, a native of Krasnodar Territory, to six years in prison for attempting to join the Russian Volunteer Corps (recognized as a terrorist organization, banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on February 10 by the press service of the Southern District Military Court in its Telegram channel.
"On August 2, 2025, Khasyanov decided to take part in the activities of the RDC. Thus, the defendant entered into correspondence with a representative of the RDK, to whom he informed of his intention to become a member of this terrorist organization, after which he sent a completed application form for membership in the RDK. The defendant was found guilty, and he was sentenced to six years in a high—security penal colony with serving the first two years in prison," the department said.
It is also reported that the person involved in the case subscribed to the terrorist organization's channel and posted a comment there justifying the activities of the RDK.
The accused was tried under three articles of Part 1 of Article 30 ("Preparation for a crime"), part 2 of Article 205.5 ("Participation in the activities of a terrorist organization"), part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public appeal / justification of terrorism on the Internet").
Earlier, on January 13, the Moscow City court sentenced a member of the RDK terrorist organization to 19 years in prison. It was established that from August 2022 to February 2024, the convict joined an illegal formation. He was involved in the screening, selection and recruitment of candidates for participation in the activities of the banned organization, and also led the filtration point, making independent decisions on the sorting of future militants.
