In 2026, car brands with weak distribution, poor localization of production and illiterate marketing policies may leave the Russian market. Alexander Shaprinsky, commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, shared this opinion with the Autostat agency on February 10.
Also, in his opinion, brands with poor quality cars may leave the Russian market, which also do not comply with warranty obligations. The expert did not list specific brands. He noted that after the recent increase in recycling, the supply of powerful cars will decrease, while models with small engines will continue to be supplied in the same volumes.
In turn, Nikolay Ivanov, director of the new car sales department at Rolf, noted that it is possible for those brands whose business is not developing and economically unprofitable to leave. The specialist did not rule out the appearance of two or three new brands on the market this year and the expansion of the model range of some brands.
Earlier, on February 3, it became known that production of new Jeland brand cars, designed specifically for the Russian Federation, will begin in Russia. The launch of the release is scheduled for the first half of 2026. The Jeland brand was developed by AGR Holding and China's Defetoo, which is their second project after the Tenet brand.
