A bright fireball appeared in the sky over Japan

On February 9, a bright fireball appeared in the sky over the Kanto region on the Japanese island of Honshu, which attracted the attention of social media users in Japan.

The balloon was spotted at 20:59 local time (14:59 Moscow time) and captured on video shot in various locations, including Tokyo, neighboring Kanagawa Prefecture, the city of Kawasaki and in the area of Mount Fuji. Videos also came from villages near Fuji, the Nagano Observatory, and the astronomy and meteorology circle at a Tokyo school.
