On February 10, Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, proposed introducing optional lessons in Russian schools to teach children the correct and beautiful expression of their thoughts and feelings without using profanity.

Grib noted that such classes can help children learn how to replace obscene expressions with beautiful and literary words, which are so rich in the Russian language. He stressed that it is important to talk to children about the harm and destructive effects of the mat, both for the child himself and for others.

According to Grib, such lessons can be conducted in conjunction with ethics electives, starting in the lower grades.

"Children should not just memorize grammar, they need to talk about the inadmissibility of obscene language from the first grade," TASS quoted him as saying.
