The French pair of figure skaters Laurence Fournier-Baudry and Guillaume Cizeron are in the lead after winning the rhythm dance at the 2026 Olympic Games (OI-2026) in Italy on February 9. They scored 90.18 points.

Americans Madison Chock and Evan Bates took the second place with a score of 89.72 points, while Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier took the third place (86.18 points).

For 33-year-old Fournier-Baudry and 31-year-old Cizeron, this season is their first together. Sizeron is the Olympic champion in 2022 and the silver medalist of the 2018 Games in ice dancing, where he performed in a duet with Gabriela Papadakis. Together they won the World Championships five times.

Chock (33 years old) and Bates (36 years old) are two—time Olympic team champions. They have also won three World Championships and three Grand Prix finals titles.

On February 8, American figure skater Ilya Malinin won the free skate in the team tournament of the 2026 Olympic Games (OI-2026). The athlete, despite his imperfect rental, received 200.03 points for the program.
