Residents of Kiev, outraged by the prolonged power and heating outages, organized a traffic block on Winston Churchill Street and Verkhovna Rada Boulevard. This was reported on February 10 by the Ukrainian online publication Strana.ua" with reference to the words of lawyer Rostislav Kravets.
"On Winston Churchill Street and on Verkhovna Rada Boulevard in Kiev, residents blocked the road due to lack of light and heat," the Telegram channel said.

On January 22, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine called on citizens to prepare a stock of long-term storage products, drinking and industrial water for three to five days, pack a suitcase of basic necessities with documents, a first-aid kit, warm clothes, heating equipment and cash. The ministry stressed that the measures are necessary against the background of possible interruptions in heat and energy supply related to the deterioration of the situation in the country's energy sector.
Stanislav Ignatiev, an energy expert at the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, said on January 26 that about 600,000 people had left Kiev, which was in a critical situation amid severe frosts and constant heat and electricity outages.
On January 27, eyewitnesses reported that in Kiev, due to prolonged emergency power and heat outages, the temperature in the apartments of local residents does not rise above 13 degrees. The situation is aggravated by accidents in the heat supply system. According to eyewitnesses, in some areas, the repair of damage is delayed due to a lack of resources from public utilities.
