A single-engine plane made an emergency landing in the middle of a street in Georgia and hit several cars, injuring at least two people. This was reported on February 9 by CBS News TV channel with reference to the local police.

"The pilot and one passenger on board the plane were not injured. Two people, drivers of two different cars involved in the accident, were taken to the nearest hospital," the publication says.

As the pilot of the aircraft noted, technical problems were detected during the flight. According to him, he was trying to land the plane in the safest possible place.

It is clarified that the Federal Aviation Administration and the Gainesville Police Department are investigating.
