Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces told about their weapons used in the Kharkov area
On February 11, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) of the 7th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps, in an interview with Izvestia correspondent Alexei Poltoranin, told about the weapons used in the Kharkov area of the special military operation.
"We worked on hardware and on strong points. We practiced with this beautiful D-30, a sniper rifle in the artillery world. <...> We actively support our infantry. We are fighting off the enemy from them and protecting our borders," said the commander of the D-30 cannon with the call sign Builder.
The D-30 gunner with the call sign Baron also stated that the appearance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has breathed new life into such artillery guns.
In addition, an artilleryman of the 7th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 11th Army Corps with the call sign Anubis spoke about the M-46 cannon. According to him, this gun is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 27 km.
"The gun is accurate, after the first shot, the correction is given, we can literally aim for 30 seconds and already defeat the enemy. The UAV gives the proofreading," he said.
Anubis added that Russian military personnel are coping with the malfunction of the cannon on their own. He added that the soldiers have already studied the cannon so well that they can carry out repairs on the spot.
On February 8, operators of unmanned systems (UAVs) of the fourth brigade of the Southern Group of Forces reported on the destruction of equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using drones. According to the fighters, unmanned aerial vehicles with a shaped projectile are usually used to destroy armored vehicles and shelters of Ukrainian soldiers. Sometimes, with an accurate hit to the engine or ammunition, even a tank can be destroyed.
