There are weekly events in the world that bring the European Union (EU) closer to a military conflict. This was announced on Monday, February 9, by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"Every week there are new events that bring Europe closer to war," he wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Accordingly, the Prime Minister commented on the statement by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about the need for the presence of alliance troops in Ukraine. Orban said that the EU is facing "dangerous times."

On February 7, the Hungarian Prime Minister announced that his country would not take part in the potential deployment of European troops to Ukraine, because it would mean a direct conflict with Russia. At the same time, he pointed to attempts by the EU to "take money away" from Hungarian families in order to transfer them to Kiev. Orban added that European leaders consider it "heresy" to put family first.
