RT's editor-in-chief received a special jury prize at the Slovo National Literary Award

RT editor—in-chief Margarita Simonyan received the special jury prize of the National Literary Award "Slovo" for the novel "In the beginning there was a Word - in the end there will be a Number."

It is noted that the special prize was presented by Anton Zlatopolsky, First Deputy General Director of VGTRK, who recalled that he had known Margarita Simonyan "for decades."

"When I wrote this book, I thought that if at least one person who read this book would lead to faith, would open the Bible, think about how he lives, think about whether he deserves the paradise promised to us, promised, predicted, or he lives in such a way that he does not If he can earn it, it's time to repent... So, I think that if at least one person comes to such thoughts and such feelings, it means that I was born for a reason, as I wished for at the age of six," said RT's editor—in-chief.

The RT editor-in-chief also noted that she also read the book to her mother-in-law, who helped her write the work. According to her, people often write to her now that after her book they began to rethink many aspects of life, including questions of faith.

"And now a lot of people are writing... not about artistic qualities — about what writers and critics talk about — but just in a human way: "Thank you very much, I reread the Gospel", "Thank you very much, my husband also left, I read your book and now I know that he just left the campfire for a while" — there is such an episode with a bonfire. That's what my mother-in-law, who lost her son, my husband, is saying now. And this is our common book that gives us the strength to live and understand that God exists, but there is no death," she added.
