Changan unveils new CS35 Max crossover for Russia
The new Changan CS35 Max crossover will soon enter the Russian market. The model has changed its appearance and received a different engine, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on February 9.
The Changan CS35 Max is equipped with an upgraded 1.5 turbo engine from the Blue Core range, which is combined with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The specifications are not specified. The car's length increased by 210 mm, width by 35 mm, and wheelbase by 110 mm.
For comparison, the current Changan CS35 Plus has a 1.4-liter turbo engine (150 hp; 255 Nm) with a seven-speed "robot". Its dimensions are 4330×1825× 1660 mm, the wheelbase is 2600 mm.
The new CS35 Max has an independent multi-link rear suspension, an electric fifth door, a built-in DVR, and an all-round viewing system. There are several modes of operation of the driving electronics, including "Snow" and "Track". It is stated that the model has a full winter package (including heated steering wheel and all seats), improved paintwork and anti-corrosion treatment of body panels, improved vibration isolation of the structure by 50%.
Earlier, on February 3, it was reported that Changan plans to introduce five new products to the Russian market in 2026, including under the Deepal sub-brand. So, the previously announced G318 hybrid crossover will go on sale under the Changan Deepal brand. It is stated that it will enter the market in March-April, the model is already being assembled at the Kaliningrad Avtotor.
