JAC has updated the OTS for the T9 pickup truck in Russia

JAC has updated the Vehicle Type Approval (TTC) for the T9 pickup truck. The changes will expand the functionality of the model in Russia — now owners can carry trailers with their own braking system weighing up to 1,500 kg. This is stated in the company's message, which was received by Izvestia on February 9.

The permit applies to all modifications of the JAC T9 pickup truck. This update allows car owners to use it more confidently for transporting heavy loads or towing special equipment, the company noted.

In January, JAC launched sales of a new modification of the T9 pickup truck in Russia, which is focused on increased comfort. The cost of the model in the Urban version will be 3.69 million rubles.

By the end of last year, JAC took the leading position in the pickup truck segment with a market share of 22.6%. During the year, 4,964 pickups of the brand were sold: an increase of 22.8% compared to 2024, despite an overall drop in sales in the segment of 24.6%.

Earlier, on January 22, JAC announced the Russian debut of the new JS9 SUV in the II–III quarter of 2026. Details about the model are not specified yet. JAC noted that it was developed specifically for the Russian market.
