Sobyanin reported to Putin on reaching a record life expectancy for Moscow
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that the capital has reached a historic milestone in life expectancy. The data were announced by him during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, where the results of the socio-economic development of the city were discussed. The mayor of the capital told about it in his channel in the MAX.
"Moscow has reached the level it has been striving for for a long time this year," Sergei Sobyanin stressed.
According to preliminary estimates for 2025, this figure has exceeded 80 years for the first time. Thus, over the past six years, the growth has been more than two years: in 2019, the life expectancy of Muscovites was 78.1 years.
Increasing the life expectancy of citizens is one of the key national development goals of the Russian Federation, established by presidential decree.
