The creation of a modern infrastructure to accommodate high-tech industries makes it possible to increase production volumes in such areas as microelectronics, unmanned aircraft systems, and energy technologies, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

As noted on the portal mos.ru At a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, the mayor, in particular, announced plans to increase industrial areas in the city. "In 2010, we had about 10 million square meters. m of industrial areas, in principle, many of them are not the best. Today, there are already 13 million, and these are not bad areas. And we expect to practically double the volume of industrial space in the coming years — by 2032," Sobyanin said.

In 2025, 850 thousand square meters of new production buildings were commissioned. Among the most important facilities are the V.V. Tereshkova National Space Center, the Moscow Photonics Center, the Speed Machine—Building Plant, and the Moscow Shipyard.

By 2030, the capital plans to increase the share of high-tech sectors in the total revenue of enterprises whose production facilities are located in Moscow from the current 38% to more than 50%.
