AvtoVAZ will check the information that entrepreneurs across Russia allegedly complain about the low reliability of Lada Largus cars. The company's press service announced this in its Telegram channel on February 9.

So, according to media reports, new Lada Largus cars begin to malfunction after 7-20 thousand km of mileage, car owners have to visit the service at least once a month, the resource of the main components has decreased significantly, and electronics failures occur. Fleets are allegedly linked to problems with simplified Itelma control units and budget components.

As noted at AvtoVAZ, the publications mention an alleged massive defect in the electronic control unit on the Lada Largus. The automaker contacted the authors of the message, who clarified that they were aware of 20-30 such cases, and they were recorded by "car owners, entrepreneurs with large fleets, as well as service centers and Lada repair specialists."

AvtoVAZ, commenting on the information in the media, stated that it, as a leading Russian automaker, is interested in ensuring and improving the quality of its cars.

"We are checking the information on the service centers and fleets that have applied. At the same time, we can consider the official appeals of car owners to official service centers: only there there is the necessary diagnostic equipment and specialists with the necessary competencies," AvtoVAZ said.

The company stressed that since the resumption of production of Lada Largus in Izhevsk in 2024, more than 59 thousand of these vehicles have been sold. Their warranty and service statistics show that the number of requests for the operation of the electronic control unit does not exceed one thousandth of a percent of the total volume of cars sold.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti is focused on preparing for production of the Lada Azimut crossover. To date, the company has already welded 217 bodies of a promising model in a test mode.
