The Organizing Committee of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy (OI-2026) promised to find out the reasons for the damage to the medals, which several winners of the competition complained about. This was announced on February 9 by Andrea Franchisi, Chief Operating Officer of the organizing Committee.

According to him, the organizers are aware of the problem and are already working to fix it.
