Emergency trees were cut down in the forests near Moscow
Emergency trees have been eliminated in the forests of the Moscow region. Employees of the regional forest protection worked to prevent emergencies related to trees that pose a danger to residents.
The work was carried out in several municipalities. So, in the Naro-Fominsk city district, a birch tree was found near the village of Sliznevo, felled by the weight of snow. With the help of chainsaws, the specialists sawed the branches and buckled the trunk, and thus ensured safe passage.
In the village of Dubki, Odintsovo city district, after an appeal from local residents, employees of the Pioneer District Forestry Department of the Zvenigorod branch of the State Budgetary Institution of the Ministry of Defense Mosoblles sawed down a tree that sagged over the roadway under the weight of snow.
The regional forestry committee drew attention to the fact that after heavy snowfalls, the number of emergency trees has grown. Due to adverse weather conditions and under the influence of snow loads, such trees pose a potential threat, writes the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya.
Earlier, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, reported that relatively frosty weather would remain in Moscow and the Moscow region until the end of the week, while the air temperature would be 5-6 degrees below the climatic norm. At the same time, precipitation will be insignificant.
