Comprehensive preparations for the SPIEF begin in St. Petersburg

The first meeting of the working group on preparations for the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was held in St. Petersburg. One of the most important events of this year will take place in our city from 3 to 6 June.

A plan of preparatory measures has been agreed with all relevant agencies and the Roscongress Foundation. Special attention is paid to the development of transport infrastructure in the area of the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center– the traditional venue of the SPIEF.

"The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is a powerful factor in the development of the city's economy. Last year, St. Petersburg concluded 67 agreements at the SPIEF for a total amount of over one trillion rubles. The forum was attended by 20,000 delegates from 140 countries and territories. This is a unique opportunity to introduce the achievements of St. Petersburg enterprises to the world and increase their export potential. When preparing for such a large–scale event, we set two main tasks – to show the hospitality of St. Petersburg to the whole planet and to preserve the usual comfort for citizens during the forum," said Governor Alexander Beglov.

As in previous years, St. Petersburg will present its exposition and business zone at the SPIEF. Its area in 2026 will be over 1,600 square meters. The forum's guests will be able to get acquainted with priority urban projects in the field of industry and innovation. St. Petersburg will also prepare business, cultural and sports programs.

A special feature of the SPIEF in 2026, declared by the President as the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, will be the Soul of Russia pavilion. Regional brands from the creative industries, focused on exporting and promoting the cultural heritage of the peoples of our country, will be presented here.

Also, the Roscongress Urban Hub platform will be operating for the sixth time as part of the SPIEF. Its partners are the largest Russian development companies. St. Petersburg developers are also invited to participate.
