A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. Units of the North group of forces improved their tactical situation and defeated formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 205 people, an armored combat vehicle and 10 vehicles. An electronic warfare (EW) station, three ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also hit the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR and the Kharkiv region. The enemy lost more than 130 soldiers, 10 vehicles and four ammunition depots.

The southern group of troops has improved its position along the front line. Enemy units were defeated in the settlements of the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 125 militants, a Leopard tank manufactured by Germany, an M113 armored personnel carrier manufactured by the United States, four armored combat vehicles, 10 vehicles and a field artillery cannon. The warehouse of material assets was destroyed.

The units of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Ukrainian armed forces amounted to more than 240 people, two armored combat vehicles and eight vehicles.

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depths of the enemy's defenses. Enemy formations were defeated in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 355 people, five armored combat vehicles and two vehicles.

The Dnepr group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the mountain assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Orekhov, Zaporizhia region. Up to 20 militants, an armored combat vehicle, six vehicles and two warehouses of materiel were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the infrastructure of the military airfield, facilities of the fuel and energy complex and transport infrastructure used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Three guided aerial bombs and 72 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 112,996 unmanned aerial vehicles, 650 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,568 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,661 multiple launch rocket systems, 33,163 field artillery and mortars, 53959 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
