On Tuesday, February 10, skier Daria Nepryaeva's next start will take place at the Olympic Games in Italy. The athlete will take to the track in the sprint classic style — first in qualifying, and then in the final races. The start of the competition is scheduled for 11:15 Moscow time. The Russian woman is competing at the 2026 Olympic Games in a neutral status, without national symbols.

This will be her second start at the 2026 Games after the skiathlon on February 7, where she finished 17th in the 20 km (10 km classic + 10 km freestyle with a time of 57 minutes 41.3 seconds.

During the course of the race, the Russian made a fall on the third lap of the classic part, but quickly continued the race and after the first 10 km she was twentieth. The victory was won by Swedish Frida Carlsson, silver went to Ebbe Andersson, and bronze was won by Norwegian Heidi Weng.

As part of the Olympic cross-country skiing tournament, Nepryaeva was announced in several more disciplines. On February 12, at 15:00 Moscow time, she will take part in the 10 km freestyle race, and on February 22, at 12:00 Moscow time, she will enter the 50 km classic mass start.

Daria Nepryaeva was born on May 18, 2002 in Tver. She grew up in a sports family: her older sister Natalia Nepryaeva (Terentyeva) is the 2022 Olympic champion in the relay, and her father Mikhail Nepryaev is a ski racing coach. At the age of 23, Daria is a two—time Russian champion, world junior champion in the 5 km classic race (2022), winner of the Russian Cup of the 2024/25 season and a multiple medalist and winner of the Russian Cup stages.

At the end of December 2025, Nepryaeva performed at the multi-day Tour de Ski in Toblach, Italy. The athlete took 27th place in the 10 km classic with a split start, 8th place in the 5 km freestyle mass start and 10th place in the overall race standings. At the Oberhof World Cup (January 18, 2026), she clocked the 16th time in the 10 km classic, and in Homs, Switzerland (January 24-25), she reached the quarterfinals of the sprint and took 8th place in the 20 km classic mass start.
