Actress Rutberg called Chipovskaya an amazing artist.
Honored Artist of Russia Olga Chipovskaya was a favorite of the entire Vakhtangov Theater and never remained indifferent to her interlocutors. People's Artist of the Russian Federation Yulia Rutberg told Izvestia about this on February 9.
"When I came to the theater, he was the first person I started rehearsing Zoya's Apartment with. I was Zoya Denisovna Peltz, she was Manyushka. I was so afraid, I was so trapped, I was so terrified. And with her kindness, human warmth, her tenderness, and her brilliant sense of humor, she convinced me that everything would be fine," she shared.
Rutberg noted that Chipovskaya was an amazing artist, and stressed that she would be greatly missed.
"She was a great gift to all of us. <...> When Chapa was at the theater, it was sunny and warm," she concluded.
Chipovskaya's death at the age of 67 became known the day before. In a memorable speech, the theater noted that the artist's entire life was completely devoted to serving the stage.
Chipovskaya graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theater College in 1980 and was accepted into the Vakhtangov Theater troupe the same year. During her career, she played many roles, including Solange in the play "Summer in Milan", Mimi in "The Three Ages of Casanova", Gabriel in "Old Russian Vaudeville" and many others.
The farewell ceremony for Chipovskaya will take place on February 9 at the Vakhtangov Theater. The ceremony will take place from 10:00 to 12:00. Anyone can say goodbye to the artist.
