Among the documents published by the US Department of Justice on the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, there is a draft of an official statement on his death. The document was drawn up by prosecutors on August 9, 2019, the day before Epstein's body was found in his cell.
"The Manhattan Correctional Center has confirmed that Jeffrey Epstein was found unconscious in his cell and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter," the draft states.
At the same time, according to official data, the financier's body was found only on the morning of August 10.
