Lavrov announced the US rejection of Anchorage's principles in negotiations on Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on February 9 that the United States had rejected proposals to resolve the Ukrainian crisis that were put forward at the Anchorage summit on August 15, 2025. According to him, Moscow then accepted American initiatives and was ready to implement them.

"In Anchorage, we accepted the offer of the United States. Apart from what they seemed to suggest about Ukraine, and we were ready. Now they are not ready," Lavrov said in an interview with the international network TV BRICS.
