Rospotrebnadzor named the most common strain of coronavirus in the Russian Federation

The XFG (Stratus) coronavirus strain is the dominant variant of new cases in Russia. This was reported on February 9 in the press service of Rospotrebnadzor.

"According to the results of the genomic surveillance implemented by Rospotrebnadzor, the XFG* (Stratus) variant continues to dominate in Russia. Its share is 99% among new COVID-19 cases," the press service said in a statement on the MAX channel.
