Britain pointed to Russia's strong position in the negotiations on Ukraine
Russia holds the strongest position in negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine, and the Russian army has gained maximum strength since the Great Patriotic War and will become an important determining factor in the negotiations. This was announced on February 8 by British diplomat Ian Proud.
"Let's be honest: Russia still has a stronger position. Russia will end the conflict with a strategic advantage on the battlefield. This is quite obvious. Their army will be the most seasoned and well—equipped since the end of World War II," Proud said on The Peacemonger YouTube channel.
According to the British MP, among all the parties involved in the peace process, it is Russia that demonstrates the most balanced and realistic approach to negotiations. He also noted that Moscow's position compares favorably with the approach of a number of European politicians to resolve the conflict.
"The Russians are clearly not Kaya Callas, who has shown herself to be opposed to any peace agreement that could end the conflict, putting forward unrealistic and, frankly, delusional conditions that she is unable to impose on Russia," Proud summed up.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis of the US Army said on February 7 that the US statements about its intention to resolve the conflict in Ukraine by June had started the countdown to Russia's victory. According to him, "There is absolutely no need for Russia to make concessions now."
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto in an interview recalled the missed opportunity to end the conflict in Ukraine in 2022, but due to the intervention and pressure of European politicians, the situation could not be resolved. The politician recalled that European politicians were close to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, during his visit to the US capital in 2022. They were the ones who had a significant impact on Zelensky's decision to continue the conflict.
