Indian Coast Guard detains three tankers for oil smuggling

The Indian Coast Guard has detained three tankers 100 nautical miles from Mumbai for oil smuggling. This was reported on February 7 by the Times of India newspaper.

"According to the Coast Guard, the vessels were involved in the illegal transshipment of oil and oil—containing cargoes coming from conflict regions, using the transshipment of goods from ship to ship in international waters to evade customs duties to coastal states, including India," the material says.
