The Telegraph pointed to the loss of the West due to the underestimation of Russia

At the beginning of the special military operation, the West underestimated Russia, as a result of which it lost — the country was able to surpass its competitors' economies in terms of growth rates, as well as create an alternative financial system not based on the dollar. The British newspaper The Telegraph came to this conclusion on February 8.

"The Europeans were deeply mistaken. Since the start of the special military operation, Russia has surpassed the growth rates of all Western economies. <...> Over the years, it has gained independence from the global financial system, which is based on the dollar," the publication says.
