Rospotrebnadzor will check a case of mass ARVI infection in a boarding house in Moscow

A case of mass acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI) among the guests of a private boarding house in New Moscow is being checked by Rospotrebnadzor. This was announced on February 8 by the press service of the department's Moscow office.

"The Department of Rospotrebnadzor in Moscow <...> immediately launched an epidemiological investigation," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

The ministry added that a set of anti-epidemic measures is currently being organized on site to identify the causes of the outbreak and prevent further spread of the infection.

On the same day, a source from Izvestia reported that pensioners who are guests of a private boarding house in New Moscow were massively ill with acute respiratory viral infections. According to the source, the outbreak of infection occurred in the village of Penino. There is a boarding house for the elderly "Dom Penino". Its guests are 12 people.
