London will continue to prioritize supporting and keeping the Kiev regime afloat. This was announced on February 8 by Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin.
"Keeping the Kiev regime afloat and unchanged will continue to be a priority task in terms of containing our country <...> We need to proceed from this," Kelin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He recalled that London's commitment to support Ukraine was confirmed in January by British Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy during a visit to Kiev. This happened on the anniversary of the signing of the Centennial Partnership Agreement between the UK and Ukraine.
The Times newspaper reported on January 8 that France and the United Kingdom are ready to send up to 15,000 troops to Ukraine as a peacekeeping contingent after a possible peace agreement. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on January 8 that the West's plan to militarize Ukraine was aimed at escalating the conflict.
